Advance Sigma DLS Paraglider

The new SIGMA DLS offers a performance boost and plenty of fun while thermalling, thanks to its forgiving flight characteristics. The redesigned internal structure makes this cross-country sportster more powerful and lighter. This is achieved with mini ribs featuring Nitinol wires at the leading edge and a Durable Lightweight Structure that balances lightness and robustness. The SIGMA DLS weighs as little as 3.70 kg.

PERFORMANCE LEAP

Along with the new profile, the front mini ribs ensure that the aerodynamically critical leading edge stays precisely shaped. This high profile fidelity significantly enhances the performance of the SIGMA DLS compared to the SIGMA 11. Despite the improvements, it still meets the familiar pilot requirements from the previous series.

The tried-and-tested three-liner concept ensures a forgiving character with safety reserves. ROBUST LIGHTNESS

With DLS technology, the 30-year tradition of the SIGMA series meets the future. Construction optimizations and a carefully chosen material mix make the SIGMA DLS surprisingly light, starting from 3.7 kg. Super-elastic Nitinol wires reduce pack volume and increase durability, as they remain undeformed even under significant stress.

DURABLE LIGHTWEIGHT STRUCTURE (DLS)

DLS incorporates a series of small but important innovations that collectively save a lot of weight. The targeted combination of lightweight and conventional fabrics, along with geometric optimizations, helps reduce overall weight.

NITINOL FRONT MINI RIBS

The additional Nitinol front mini ribs ensure that the canopy maintains its precise shape, particularly at the aerodynamically crucial leading edge. Detailed calculations of these mini ribs enable optimal profile fidelity in any flight condition. This is key to the SIGMA DLS’s high performance.

EFFECTIVE PITCH CONTROL SYSTEM

The SIGMA DLS features a modern pitch control system with C handles. C-level inputs are transmitted directly from C to B level, maintaining the wing’s profile shape. This system ensures the glider delivers its full performance potential, even when actively controlled with C handles.

HIGH-TECH EDELRID PRO DRY LINES

The SIGMA DLS uses unsheathed Pro Dry lines that are highly resistant to stretching and retain above-average tensile strength, even after many flights. These lines are color-coded and 60% more water-repellent than previous generations, offering excellent durability and performance.

SEAMLESS WEIGHT RANGES

The Seamless Weight Ranges of the SIGMA DLS make a clear transition from one wing size to the next, so that any pilot suits only one ideal take-off weight range. In this way, the SIGMA DLS guarantees the optimum balance of useful airspeed and climb performance in all flying conditions.
