WindsRiders Ultimate Everest Magnetic Sleeves New Version

From the first generation of Windsriders muffs (K2), much appreciated by hundreds of pilots, we have created a super version, even warmer, bigger, with simpler use on take-off and guaranteed warmth even at the highest altitudes!

Protecting you from the cold of high altitude is the mission of these super Everest 8848 Paragliding Sleeves, in pure 700 Cuin down, for winter use or very high altitudes.

This latest version with magnetic closure makes it considerably easier to fit the sleeve onto the control system, in just 2 seconds. It’s a big improvement on the system! User manual at the bottom of this page.

Designed for the extreme! The best of the best! Fly at over 8,000 metres without your hands getting cold.

The warmest sleeves in the Windsriders range will protect you from the cold (down to -30°C) for just 200 g (one size).

From the first generation of Windsriders muffs (K2), much appreciated by hundreds of pilots, we have created a super version, even warmer, bigger, with simpler use on take-off and guaranteed warmth even at the highest altitudes! Over the years, we’ve greatly improved the system, and version 2025 is the ULTIMATE culmination of our efforts. We’re extremely pleased with the result, and the quality and technical sophistication of the product, which should delight you!

These Everest Super Sleeves (8848 meters for the roof of the world) always fit snugly into a small bag, so they take up minimal space in your harness. A pair weighs around 200 grams. Each sleeve is generously filled with 700 Cuin super down. You can also use them to protect your instruments in your backpack.

One size fits all.

What’s the difference with K2 sleeves?
– The length of the sleeve, which covers even more of the forearm.
– The overall volume of the sleeve, with larger cells and even more of that super 700 Cuin down.
– The automatic, purely magnetic closing system (no more zippers or handling after take-off)

The magnetic closure makes take-off easy, with the sleeves on your forearms, bare or gloved hands. Once in the air, simply lift the Everest sleeve onto the brake handle, and press the magnetic closure with the other hand. It takes just 2 seconds to complete the operation. Here’s the closing demo.

Inside, the hand is free, in contact with the handle and brake line, without discomfort. Secure the sleeve with the small Velcro fastener inside, which clamps onto the brake line without preventing it from sliding.

The muff is made of Super comforter 700 Cuin, and lined at the bottom with soft black synthetic fur.

Low insulation is guaranteed by the use of a Reverse or Thermique light down jacket. The natural swelling of the sleeve on these down jackets means that they fit snugly into the sleeve, without the need for a drawstring. The volume of the sleeve keeps the lower opening in shape, making it much easier to get your hands in and out, if you need to tinker, adjust an instrument or take photos.
– 2 small loops, sewn into the bottom of the Everest sleeve, allow you to attach a rubber band, as some pilots do with “Acro” handles. The elastic band (not supplied) can be attached to the harness or to the connecting link, ensuring tension and stability of the sleeve. It’s a matter of taste, but you should be aware that it can make take-off a little more difficult.

This Ultimate Everest Sleeve New “magnet” version is for whom?

For pilots who fly often, even in winter, and who want the ultimate in thermal comfort, with the added bonus of ease of use. In fact, it’s not just for flying, but also for mountaineering, bivouacking or walking.

Diversionary uses… On skis, bike, motorcycle, gyroplane or small plane. Permanently attach the sleeve to your handlebars, your control stick…

User’s manual

It couldn’t be easier to use. Before takeoff, put the muffle on your forearm through the magnetic zipper opening. Once airborne, in stable flight and preferably in calm conditions, slide the left muffle onto the left brake handle, pressing the brake line against the angle of the closure (reinforced section for sliding without abrasion). Pinch the sleeve onto the magnetic closure, pressing down firmly on the top (small integrated Velcro to secure the brake line in its sliding “tunnel”). It’s installed (in 3 seconds maximum!).

Do the same for the other hand! Easy!

If you’re worried about losing a sleeve, you can always add a simple leash to the bottom part, secured to your forearm, like a ski glove.

Be carefull: those muffles are very hot. But we recommand you to wear a small pair of silk or thin gloves. Why? For not freezing your hand with very low temperatures when you will have to manage things out of the muffles (taking pictures, adjust instruments…). Think about that !
